My DeviantART Story

i posted this piece on july 20th in 2010, and at this point in time, i thought my art was pretty awesome. and, for someone with no experience, it was. looking back on it now, it could use the redraw treatment.

a year passes, i go to college, and learn how to use more mediums, some digital effects, and india ink. my art did improve. slightly. as you can see, manga was heavily influencing me at the time.

in the fall of 2012, i created an ask blog, which is now a story blog, on my list of things i need to update, featuring my my little pony original species, cartazanons. it focused on cybil and cress, who are still very near and dear to me. i should draw them again sometime...

fall of last year, and i'm starting to move into a more disney inspired style, due to the fact that graduation is around the corner, and the time to start thinking of my career is drawing close. my skills improves, as i slowly develop my own style for drawing humans, ponies, anthro and other types, and work on a coloring style that fits my drawings.

and here we are, a commission posted almost exactly 5 years to the date that i joined deviantart. my art has progressed with leaps and bounds. i've improved a lot more than i give myself credit for!

and not only has my art improved, i have made many amazing friends here on da, some i've gotten the privilege to meet outside of the internet, and those who have helped me get through some of my darkest times. so, thank you da, for helping me improve, and helping me meet all these amazing people!

URGENT

Okay, I normally don’t ask for this sort of thing, but I really need prayer, or whatever your personal beliefs call for.

Last year, my mum’s doctor found cancerous cells inside her uterus, basically stage 1 uterine cancer. My mum is a very strong Christian, who depends on prayer and faith for a lot of stuff, and she’s been praying since they found it for healing.

At this point, the best way to avoid the cancer worsening and spreading, is for her to have a hysterectomy. My mum is scheduled to have the surgery this thursday, but now she’s having second thoughts.

Please, if at all possible, please pray or whatever you personal beliefs call for in this situation, that she goes through with the surgery. If she doesn’t, the cancer could spread and possibly claim her life. I don’t wanna lose my mum, and I’m gonna talk with her about it tonight, so please keep her in your thoughts in the meantime.

There's been an update on my mum. She postponed her surgery to the 27th due to my dad having surgery. She's still very hesitant about the whole thing, but I'm hopeful that she will go through with it. Please keep her in your prayers and thoughts. Again, I don't wanna lose my mum, so anything helps! ((Also, sorry for not getting on in over a week! I was in Houston for Spring Break, and was very relaxed the whole time! Apologies if anyone was trying to contact me. I'm not dead, jut rested!)) so here's the deal, i'm gonna open up 5 commission slots! yes, only 5, mainly cause i still have some unfinished commissions, and school, and i don't wanna tax my workload!
